Prayer and Liturgy
Our prayers are important to us
MORNING PRAYER
Good morning Jesus, Good morning Lord. Good Morning Jesus, Good Morning Lord. Good morning Jesus, Good Morning Lord and thank you for another day.
Amen.
END OF THE DAY PRAYER
God our Father, I come to say thank you for your love today, thank you for my family and all the friends you give to me. Guard me in the dark of night and in the morning send your light.
Amen
GRACE BEFORE MEALS
Bless us O God as we sit together, bless the food we eat today, bless the hands that make the food, bless us O God.
Amen
GRACE AFTER MEALS
Thank you God for the food we have eaten, thank you God for all my friends, thank you God for everything.
Amen
In the mornings, our prayers have become more reflective and change to match the seasons and events in the world. The "Our Father" is central to the week, reflecting the importance of this prayer in our school. We also sing this together, using the version promoted by the Diocese of Salford
Our children understand the different seasons within the Church's liturgical year and how these change the focus of the prayers areas used for class worship and the displays around school.
